Before you even start unpacking the Christmas decorations from the boxes that have been sitting in the attic or the basement for almost a year, make sure to inspect the scene for unwanted critters. Who knows what little pesky guys found a new home in your garland or box of ornate ornaments?
Pro tip: If you can unpack your decorations outside, to prevent critters from crawling out of your decor and into your home.
Also, before you ever bring a live tree, wreath, or firewood into your house, make sure to look carefully for bugs. Here are a few additional tips to read through before you set up your Christmas tree in your home.
Vacuum Your Home Regularly
To prevent any bugs from falling out of your tree into your carpet and investing the home, make sure to vacuum regularly. A clean home usually creates a pest-free home!
Don’t Spray Pesticides Inside!
This might seem like common sense, but it is extremely important not to spray bug repellent inside your home. It may be tempting if you are having bug issues in your tree or wreaths, but it’s not good for health, and it can be flammable. Here are a few natural pesticide remedies that are safe for the home, your health, and will help keep the bugs away.
